DAVID WILSON GARDEN DESIGN

David Wilson and Marco Rini are known for creating some of Austin’s most refined residential gardens—spaces that balance structure, texture, and a deep understanding of plant life.

They invited us to help establish a visual identity and articulate a brand story that reflects the understated sophistication of their work.

Our approach centered on photography. We developed a business brochure featuring black-and-white images by Mary Pat Waldron and Frank Curry, which we converted to warm duotones. The images highlight both the scale of their landscapes and the quiet detail of individual plantings.

The restrained use of color, combined with the tonal richness of the photography, reinforces the sense of balance and refinement that defines their gardens.

We extended this approach into a series of note cards—featuring plant details and paired with matching envelopes—as an introduction to prospective clients. A simple, tactile piece that reflects the experience of their work.

Our work together resulted in a cohesive identity and communication system that reflects the character and quality of their work.
