Balcones Frame Supply built a reputation for quality and service after opening in Austin in 1982—earning the trust of artists, photographers, interior designers, and collectors.

When owner Jane Ellison relocated the studio to Burnet Road, she invited us to develop a visual identity and signage system that would carry that reputation forward.

Rather than reinvent the brand, our approach was to refine and reinforce what already existed—creating something that felt both established and contemporary.

The goal was to strike a balance: timeless but not nostalgic, distinctive without being overstated.

The resulting identity and signage reflected the character of the studio itself—warm, welcoming, and grounded in craft—supporting a place where clients felt both well cared for and at ease.
